During the current COVID-19 public health emergency, the Second District Court of Appeals continues to serve the people of its six county jurisdiction. The judges continue to consider and decide cases, and they are available to address matters that require immediate attention.

The court will conduct oral arguments remotely via telephone conference for the foreseeable future.  Members of the public may listen to arguments in real time by requesting dial-in instructions prior to the argument date.  Oral argument recordings will be available upon request for 30 days following argument.

Though many of our staff are working remotely, the court’s administrative staff is available by phone or email to assist with procedural and scheduling questions.  If you have questions or require assistance, please call our office at 937-225-4464 or email us at OhioSecondDistrict@mcohio.org.  If you have a matter that requires immediate attention, please contact 937-225-4464 for further guidance.

If you plan to visit the courthouse, please note that facial coverings are required in the building. If you require in-person assistance, consider making an appointment ahead of time with the court’s administrative staff, and we ask that you reschedule your visit if you are sick, have been exposed to someone who has been sick, or have recently traveled to a COVID hot spot.
